Freetown, 20th May 2026– The first set of nine third-party nationals who arrived at Freetown International Airport today are being housed at a hotel in Lungi, our sources have confirmed.

Although local media was not granted access to the group, we can confirm that some expressed dissatisfaction with being brought to Sierra Leone and are requesting swift repatriation to their countries of origin.

Speaking on Truth Morning Devotion, Foreign Affairs Minister Timothy Kabba said the government is engaging the respective member states to facilitate the repatriation process.

A fact sheet released by the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministries of Information and Civic Education, and Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, confirms that the $1.5 million grant from the United States Government tied to the reception of third‑party nationals will be managed by Kenvah Solutions, a humanitarian and operational service provider supporting the arrangement.

According to the document, Kenvah Solutions will deliver a range of services, including airport reception, temporary accommodation, food and non‑food supplies, healthcare and psychosocial support, logistics, and repatriation coordination.
