Luanda, Angola, 29th July 2026- Sierra Leone’s First Lady and President of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) is attending the official launch of the continental campaign, “Strengthening Resilience for Women and Girls: Climate, Conflict and a Sustainable Future,” in Luanda, Angola.

As President of OAFLAD, the First Lady says she is honoured to join her fellow First Ladies, development partners, and key stakeholders as they reaffirm their collective commitment to advancing practical, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that empower women and girls across Africa.

The event will emphasize the collective determination of African leaders to ensure that women and girls are not only shielded from the devastating impacts of climate and insecurity but are also equipped to lead, innovate, and thrive as central drivers of sustainable development.

“This campaign is about translating vision into action,” Madam Bio said. “We are committed to building stronger partnerships, fostering meaningful dialogue, and creating lasting opportunities that strengthen resilience and secure a more just, prosperous, and sustainable future for our continent.”
