Freetown, 21st October 2026- In commemoration of World Mental Health Day 2026, Orange Sierra Leone partnered with the Ministry of Health to promote mental health awareness, challenge stigma and encourage open conversations about mental wellbeing under the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.”

As part of the commemoration, Orange Sierra Leone participated in a Mental Health Awareness Walk through the streets of Freetown, alongside government institutions, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders, reaffirming our collective commitment to advancing mental health awareness and advocacy in Sierra Leone.

Recognising that “We All Have Mental Health,” Orange Sierra Leone also organised a special employee Mental Health Awareness Talk, featuring Dr. Abdul Jalloh, Consultant Psychiatrist, Mental Health Advocate and Director of Mental Health and Non-Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health. The session provided an important platform to raise awareness, encourage open dialogue, address misconceptions and promote a supportive workplace culture where mental wellbeing is prioritised.

Orange Sierra Leone also participated in the National Mental Health Symposium, further demonstrating our commitment to strengthening partnerships and supporting national efforts to improve mental health awareness and wellbeing.

At Orange Sierra Leone, we believe that mental health matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and no one should face mental health challenges in silence.

Together, we are helping to build a more informed, compassionate and inclusive society where mental health receives the attention, understanding and support it deserves.
