Freetown, 30th June, 2026 — The Council of Legal Education has announced new interim leadership for the Sierra Leone Law School following the resignation of its former Director, whose notice period officially ended today.

In a meeting held on Tuesday, the Council resolved to appoint Hon. Justice Fatmata Bintu Alhadi (JSC) as Acting Director, with Emmanuel Sahr Tondoneh Esq. serving as Assistant Acting Director.

The decision marks a key transition for the institution as it moves to ensure continuity in administration and academic oversight. The Council also confirmed that recruitment for a substantive Director will be advertised soonest, signaling its commitment to transparency and due process in filling the position.

The Sierra Leone Law School, which operates under the Council of Legal Education, plays a pivotal role in training and certifying the country’s future lawyers.
