Freetown, 24th August, 2026 – Mercury International Betting Company, through its Online Betting platform, has officially launched six grand prizes end of year promotion on Vegas and Sports Raffles worth $120,000, unveiling a series of high-value raffles aimed at giving Sierra Leoneans new opportunities for financial upliftment ahead of the Christmas season.
Speaking at the launch, held at Gigibonta, Lumley Beach Road, on 24th August, the Managing Director and CEO, Martin E. Michael, said the company is on a mission to create opportunities for citizens to win big. “We just concluded our last launch where we gave out a house, and now, as we approach the Christmas season, we are back again with even bigger rewards,” Michael revealed.
“I am officially launching our end-of-year raffle, the Vegas Raffle, where players can qualify daily to win a brand-new JTour TI 2026 Model Car, an automatic scooter, and an 85-inch Smart Television.”
Unveiling the Sports Raffle, he said it is specifically for sports betting customers, with three grand prizes: a two-bedroom house at Taff Salone, a TVS tricycle [Kekeh], and a Lifan motorbike.
Discussing the time the draw would take effect, Michael confirmed that the draw would take effect from 2:00 PM on August 24, 2026. He described the campaign as record-breaking, noting that they look forward to handing over the prizes in January 2027. “These raffles are real. We are not here to pretend,” he assured.
Mercury Deputy Online Manager, Octavious Jackson, said participation requires customers to first open an online account. He further explained that “The Vegas Raffle ticket costs NLe250 and offers higher winning chances, while the Sports Raffle ticket costs just NLe50. He added that Everyone playing is a winner. We are generous in giving out bonuses. Bet with the best,” Jackson said.
He said that Mercury Bet is committed to creating life-changing opportunities. “Mercury is doing what would normally take a lifetime buying a house. But with Mercury, you can get a house, a Kekeh, a car, or a bike in no time,” he emphasized.
Mercury Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Komba, echoed the sentiment, stating: “It’s not about betting; it’s about making Sierra Leoneans happy,” he said.
Mercury Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Beresford Burnce Coker, reaffirmed the company’s focus on customer loyalty and service delivery. “One of the things Mercury is known for is being number one. Paying bonuses is what keeps us going. It helps us retain our loyal customers and attract new ones. We are here to stay. We have dedicated staff, and whatever our customers aspire to, we will always deliver,” Coker said.
Both raffles will run from 24th August, 2026 to 3rd January, 2027. The grand prize handover ceremony is also scheduled for January 2027.
