Conakry, May 13, 2026 — APC flagbearer hopeful Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has engaged members of the party’s Guinea Branch during a visit to the neighbouring country, underscoring solidarity and consultation ahead of the party’s upcoming national delegate conference.
Dr. Bangura, who travelled with close aides Comrade Mamoud Kargbo (BTK), Deputy Chairman of the North‑West Region, and Lawyer Emmanuel Karrow‑Kamara, Legal Adviser of the North‑East Region, initially visited Guinea to sympathize with a close friend following the loss of his mother.
While in Conakry, he seized the opportunity to meet with a cross‑section of APC members, holding discussions on strengthening ties between the party’s leadership and its diaspora membership. The meeting emphasized the importance of Dr. Bangura returning to Guinea for broader engagement with both the party executive and the wider APC community.
