Freetown, 17th April 2026 – Former Leone Stars Head Coach Mohamed Kallon has appealed to Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara to provide leadership and clarity following his dismissal, which he described as “unfair and unjustified.”

Speaking on Truth Morning Devotion on Friday, Kallon said the situation had reached a crossroads that required decisive leadership. “As a younger brother, I would advise you to take full responsibility for your association and provide leadership for us,” he pleaded, adding that if he had erred, a meeting involving the National Sports Authority (NSA) and other stakeholders should be convened to address the matter.

Kallon emphasized that his priority was the national interest, not personal grievances, noting that his backroom staff and players had invested heavily in the team’s progress. “I have nothing against anyone in the FA,” he said, urging unity and focus on Sierra Leone’s football development.

He further called on the government, the people of Sierra Leone, and the players to weigh in on the issue, insisting that his removal lacked justification. Kallon revealed that during his 14 months in charge, he had not been paid and his demands were unmet, yet he remained committed to the role.
