Freetown, 3rd March 2026 — Sierra Leonean entrepreneur and media personality Vickie Remoe has been nominated for the African Business Chamber (AfBC) International Trade Excellence Award at the upcoming African Business Awards 2026, scheduled to take place in London this May.
The International Trade Excellence Award recognizes leaders driving cross-border trade, exports, investments, and international partnerships, while strengthening Africa’s position in global commerce. Remoe’s nomination highlights her work as Founder and CEO of VR&C Marketing and as Chair of the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference, where she has championed diaspora engagement and investment in Sierra Leone’s economy.
Remoe, often described as a trailblazer in Sierra Leone’s creative and business sectors, has built a career that bridges media, marketing, and development. Through VR&C Marketing, she has led campaigns that elevate African brands and connect them to global markets. Her leadership of the Diaspora Investment Conference has created platforms for Sierra Leoneans abroad to channel financial and cultural capital back home, fostering entrepreneurship and national development.
Beyond business, Remoe is widely recognized as a storyteller and advocate for African identity. She is the creator of The Vickie Remoe Show, a lifestyle and culture program that celebrates Sierra Leonean and African talent.
