Freetown, 25th November 2025- The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has once again been recognised as the Best Performing Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation (MTA) for 2025. The honour was awarded in acknowledgment of the Authority’s achievements, leadership, and continued commitment to excellence in the maritime sector.
Reading the citation, the Senior Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Mr. Edward Kwame Yankson, noted that the award was conferred as a result of SLPHA’s outstanding performance in promoting efficiency and productivity.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Director General, Mr. Yankuba Askia Bio, the Director of Research, Planning and Development, Abubakarr Sidique Kamara Esq., described the recognition as a clear demonstration of the Authority’s hard work and focused leadership. He assured the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of SLPHA’s continued and unwavering commitment to effective service delivery.
The award to Ministries, Departments and Agencies under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation is part of an initiative designed to recognise hard work and dedication.
