Freetown, 30th October 2025 Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC), has donated Le500 million to support the ongoing construction of the party’s district office in Kono. The donation was made during his visit to the APC National Party Headquarters in Freetown on Thursday.

According to Dr. Bangura, the contribution fulfills a promise he made months ago to the APC Kono District Executive, aimed at complementing the efforts of other party stakeholders involved in the project. The funds were formally handed over to APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., who will present them to the Kono District Executive.

In his remarks, Dr. Bangura praised the people of Kono District, especially its women, for their unwavering commitment to the party’s growth. He encouraged continued unity and collective action to advance development in the district.

Expanding on his vision for party infrastructure, Dr. Bangura announced plans to extend similar support to Port Loko and Kambia Districts, reinforcing his commitment to strengthening APC structures nationwide.

He also called on fellow APC stakeholders to follow suit by channeling their contributions through the party’s formal structures. Discipline, unity, and shared purpose, he said, are essential for securing victory in the 2028 general elections.

Dr. Bangura concluded by urging party members and citizens to rally behind national efforts to combat the rising kush drug crisis, which continues to pose serious challenges across Sierra Leone.
