Freetown, 20th June, 2026 – The VIGILUS Group has officially launched operations in Sierra Leone, unveiling VIGILUS Facilities on 109 Wilkinson Road, Freetown, to deliver a wide range of business and infrastructure services.
The company, which already operates in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, and the United Arab Emirates, will now provide Sierra Leonean businesses with solutions spanning IT and IoT systems, fire safety and prevention, cash management, smart security, technical building maintenance, air conditioning, and refrigeration services.
Speaking at the launch ceremony at Lagoonda Complex, Aberdeen, Ahmed Sadrudeen Kamara, representing the CEO of VIGILUS Sierra Leone, said the mission is to ensure buildings and infrastructure remain safe, efficient, and sustainable. “From property maintenance and cleaning services to hard and soft security coordination, landscaping, waste management, and workplace support, we are committed to delivering excellence at every stage,” he noted, adding that the company’s slogan is: “We build to reduce risk before it becomes a cost.”
Kamara emphasized that VIGILUS Facilities is a proudly Sierra Leonean subsidiary, inspired by government efforts to improve human capital. “As a local company, we are proud to contribute to this development by providing solutions that meet international standards while addressing the unique needs of our environment,” he said.
The company pledged to support Sierra Leone’s sustainable development by promoting environmental stewardship, creating jobs, developing local talent, and building partnerships with government institutions, businesses, and communities.
Alhassan Mbaye, CEO of VIGILUS Senegal, described the expansion as part of a broader vision to build an African company capable of delivering world-class services. “We are not in Sierra Leone simply to open an office but to build lasting partnerships, create opportunities, and contribute to the country’s development,” he said.
Daniel Ofurun, Business Development Manager in Dubai, highlighted the group’s role in business consulting and trade facilitation. He explained that VIGILUS helps African businesses explore opportunities in Dubai, secure competitive prices from manufacturers, and connect governments with credible investors.
Leader of Government Business Hon. Sahr Mathew Nyuma welcomed the company’s entry, urging VIGILUS to engage with the National Investment Board and commending its potential to create jobs.
