Freetown, 25th September, 2025- The Director General of Sierra Leone’s National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). The agreement, signed on September 22, 2025, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, aims to unlock long-term infrastructure investment across Africa through strategic pension fund collaboration.

Freetown, 25th September 2025- A senior member of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission, Reginald Sydney Fynn, has formally written to President Julius Maada Bio, raising serious concerns over the Commission’s decision to refer Supreme Court Justice Allan Halloway to the President for the establishment of a tribunal to investigate alleged misconduct.

Sierra Leone, he affirmed, stands ready to lead with conviction, committed to principled multilateralism and the dignity of all peoples.

The Mayor’s appeal calls for immediate government intervention and pledges the council’s willingness to collaborate on solutions. The letter also serves as a sobering reminder of the human cost of Sierra Leone’s drug crisis and the urgent need for a multi-sector response.
