Freetown, 1st September 2026- We were welcomed at the SLPP HQ office today by the National Chairman Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, elected officials, other district, regional and national executive officers and over 100 grassroot supporters. Our task was simple – to deliver on a promise I made a few months ago to all district, and regional secretaries general of the great SLPP.
Over the past 6 months, I had already delivered the following as part of our human capital priorities:
1. Full scholarship to all secretaries from constituency level and above pursuing undergraduate degrees or lower
2. 50% partial scholarship to all secretaries from constituency level and above pursuing graduate degrees including masters and doctorate (national and international).
3. Supported the National Association of Constituency Secretaries to convene a national conference and develop a plan.
Today, I delivered over 25 laptop computers to all district, and regional secretaries. In addition, they each received a modem with 1 year subscription courtesy of Madam Salima Monorma Bah. All this is part our support to the Leader’s and the National Chairman’s vision of mobilizing our great party. We also supported the beneficiaries with an introductory computer training program to enhance their use of the tools thanks to Mr. Jasper Patrick Sembie.
During the meeting, the Chairman asked for more support to the administrators and functional national officers. As such, I pledged an additional 5 desktop for the admin and 10 laptops for national officers.
Together #WeWillDeliver.
When I say the SLPP is a radically inclusive human capital political party, it’s not a policy statement… it’s who we are and it’s what we do.
