Freetown, 15th May 2026-  In a ceremony at the British High Commissioner’s Residence, Field Marshal Lord David Richards joined distinguished Commonwealth military veterans and their families in a celebration of courage, sacrifice, and shared history.

Among those present were remarkable veterans aged 92, 104, and 106, whose service to both the United Kingdom and Sierra Leone stands as a living testament to resilience across generations. Families of retired and fallen service personnel also attended, underscoring the enduring bonds forged through decades of dedication.
