Freetown, 10th April, 2026 — The Leader of the DIB Movement and flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has made a brief but strategic stopover in Jendema, Sierra Leone’s key border town with Liberia, as part of his grassroots outreach to strengthen ties with local communities.
Dr. Bangura, accompanied by his delegation, held consultations with traditional authorities, including Paramount Chief Mustapha Jenje Massaquoi III of Sorogbema Chiefdom and his sub-chiefs. Discussions focused on community development priorities, cross-border relations, and the role of local leadership in fostering peace, unity, and citizen participation in national processes.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for the DIB Movement to listen to residents’ concerns and reaffirm its commitment to inclusive governance and people-centred development.
The stopover underscored the Movement’s strategic focus on border communities, recognizing their importance in national cohesion and regional connectivity. Dr. Bangura and his team later continued their journey to Pujehun Town as part of broader outreach activities.
