Freetown, 21st November 2025 – The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced a donation of $100,000 to support development projects in the Peace Diamond Village, Sierra Leone.
The announcement was made at the conclusion of a special side event with diamond industry figure Martin Rapaport. The funds will be delivered through the Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD), a Sierra Leonean civil society organization.
DMCC’s Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, formally presented the donation to NMJD’s Executive Director, Abu Brima. The contribution will be directed entirely towards the development needs of the Peace Diamond Village, reinforcing DMCC’s stated commitment to sustainable community growth in diamond‑producing regions.
The initiative highlights DMCC’s ongoing engagement with communities at the source of the diamond trade, aiming to ensure that local residents benefit directly from international partnerships and industry revenues.
