Freetwon, 3rd November 2025- The Sierra Leone Premier League Board (SLPLB) has officially signed an MOU with the sponsors of the Premier League, Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG), extending their sponsorship for the fourth consecutive season.

The latest deal, worth over four million new Leones ($180,000) in sponsorship, is in continuation of the relationship between the parties focused on promoting the growth and development of football in Sierra Leone. Officials from LRMG and football stakeholders were present at the signing.

Director of Admin and Human Resource at LRMG describes this union as one of hope, progress, respect, and sharing.

Sports Minister and Keynote Speaker, Augusta James-Teima commended the signing of the deal, noting that investment in the development of football also develops the intellectual, physical, emotional and social aspect of a nation.

James-Teima stated her commitment and hopes for football governance that is anchored on transparency and accountability which she believes will lead to success, letting football set the pace for other sporting disciplines.

Sierra Leone Football Association President Babadi Kamara described the event as marking one of his happiest days in office. “Leone Rock is investing in the future of Sierra Leone,” he remarked.

Kamara went on to promise that henceforth winners of the league will be presented with their prize money on the day of their crowning, correcting the wrong of the previous season where delays were encountered much to the displeasure of the sponsors, LRMG.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Swaray, on behalf of the National Sports Authority Director, thanked the Leone Rock Metal Group for their continued support to the Premier League.

He encouraged young people to participate in sports and said the NSA would continue to give their support to the development of football.
