Freetown, 10th October 2025— The Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) has announced the temporary closure of its Wilkinson Road Branch, located at the Aberdeen Road Junction, effective Monday, 20th October 2025. The closure is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade and improve the bank’s service delivery environment.
According to a statement issued by the bank, the decision was made to facilitate rehabilitation works at the branch premises. During the renovation period, all operations previously handled at Wilkinson Road will be redirected to the SLCB Congo Cross Branch, situated along Main Motor Road next to the NP Congo Cross Filling Station.
SLCB has expressed regret over any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause and has encouraged customers to continue accessing banking services through alternative channels. These include nearby branches at Lumley and Youyi Building, as well as digital platforms such as the SLCB Mobile App, Mi Yone SLCB Moni Wallet, Corporate Internet Banking, and the USSD service via *944#.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to delivering reliable, convenient, and innovative banking solutions, assuring customers that the rehabilitation is aimed at enhancing their overall banking experience.
SLCB continues to position itself as a leading financial institution in Sierra Leone, with a focus on modernization and customer satisfaction.
