Freetown, 4th March 2026- Ecobank Sierra Leone Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Truth Media, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Wednesday at the bank’s conference room on Charlotte Street, Freetown.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Amadu Lamrana Bah, Managing Partner of Truth Media, expressed optimism about the collaboration.
“I am happy for this partnership and committed to ensuring it thrives. Ecobank is the first banking institution we have engaged formally, and partnering with a continental and global brand like this opens new opportunities in the private sector. We are certain to add value to Ecobank just as Ecobank will add value to what we do,” Bah said.
On his part, Sebastian Ashong-Katai, Managing Director of Ecobank Sierra Leone, emphasized the shared values underpinning the agreement.
“We see credibility, integrity, innovation, and public service as central to both our institutions. This MoU will allow us to promote financial literacy and awareness, strengthen digital financial services, and enhance women’s access to business and finance. We also recognize the critical role of journalism in advancing these goals,” Ashong-Katai noted.
The partnership aims to expand Ecobank’s brand visibility while leveraging Truth Media’s reach to promote financial literacy, digital banking awareness, and women’s empowerment in finance. Both institutions pledged to work together to create greater value and sustainable impact for Sierra Leoneans.
The agreement marks a significant step in bridging the gap between the financial sector and the media, positioning Ecobank and Truth Media as partners in driving innovation, inclusion, and public service.
