Freetown, 3rd February, 2026 – The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the appointment of Mohamed Benson Bawoh as its new General Secretary and Ishmail Saidu Kanu as Deputy General Secretary. Both appointments take immediate effect.
The decision was reached following a meeting of the SLFA Executive Committee, which emphasized that the move reflects the Association’s commitment to strengthening its administrative structures and ensuring effective football governance nationwide.
In a statement, the Executive Committee expressed confidence in the leadership qualities and professional experience of the two appointees, noting that their roles will be pivotal in advancing the Association’s strategic objectives and ongoing football development initiatives.
