Washington, D.C. – The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Madma Fatima Maada Bio, has arrived in the United States on the invitation of Mrs. Melania Trump, First Lady of the United States, to participate in the inaugural Fostering the Future Together Coalition Summit.

Madam Bio, who also serves as President of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), landed at Dulles International Airport ahead of the two-day summit scheduled for March 24–25, 2026.

She is expected to deliver remarks during a high-level meeting at the White House on Wednesday, March 25, underscoring Sierra Leone’s commitment to advancing healthcare, education, and opportunities for future generations.

During her visit, the First Lady will also meet with Charles Harder, U.S. Special Envoy for Best Future Generation, at Blair House. Following the summit, she will travel to New York for further engagements.

The Embassy of Sierra Leone in Washington, D.C. confirmed her itinerary, noting that the visit reflects growing international collaboration on issues affecting women, children, and sustainable development.
