Freetown, Sierra Leone, 23rd September 2025 In a bid to deepen bilateral ties, Sierra Leone has officially joined The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the 2025 Sierra Leone-Canada Trade, Investment and Cultural Show.

The Chamber’s Country Membership opens a strategic gateway for Sierra Leone’s Embassy and High Commission to leverage Canada’s business networks, promoting trade and investment opportunities across key sectors.

Welcoming Sierra Leone into the fold, Canadian officials highlighted the country’s growing appeal to Canadian investors. Opportunities span a range of industries, from the resumption of iron ore mining and offshore oil prospects to renewable energy, infrastructure development, and professional training.
