York, 29th March 2026- In the Magistrate court holding at York, Magistrate Solomon C. Kekurah, has committed three employees of Regimanuel Gray Company Ltd Sierra Leone to stand trial at the high court for allegation of conspiracy and larceny of Eight Hundred and Ninety-six Thousand worth of properties of the company.
The three accused persons- Tamba Junisa Lebbie Sosokoineh, a supervisor, aged 32; Andrew Williams, a store keeper, aged 74; and Samuel Kamara, an assistant storekeeper, aged 63, are alleged to conspire to steal 256 wooden panels, each of which costs Three Thousand Five Hundred Leones, belonging to the company.
Court records show that the accused are facing two counts of conspiracy to commit an offense and larceny by servants, contrary to section 17(1)(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
In his ruling, the Magistrate overruled a no case submission by defence lawyers representing the accused persons, and after pursuing all evidences from the five witnesses and having gone through 11 exhibits, Magistrate Kekurah, however, was satisfied that the prosecution presented sufficient evidence to commit to the defendants for trial in the High Court.
They were committed pursuant to section 113 (2) paragraph (b) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2024 Act No.8 of 2024 & Section 113 subsection 9 of the same Act.
