Freetown, 6th January 2026- Orange Sierra Leone has announced the appointment of Madam Aïcha Touré as its new Chief Executive Officer, ushering in what the company describes as a new era of growth and innovation.
Touré, a seasoned telecoms and financial services executive, succeeds Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah, who officially handed over leadership after guiding the company through years of infrastructure expansion and digital transformation. She was welcomed at the company’s headquarters with a bouquet of flowers, symbolizing unity, appreciation, and fresh beginnings.
During her introduction, the outgoing CEO led Touré on a tour of Orange Sierra Leone’s facilities, including the Orange Digital Center and technical departments, where she met with employees and stakeholders.
With more than 12 years of experience across the telecoms, technology, and financial services sectors, Touré brings a strong track record of innovation and leadership. She joined the Orange Group in 2017 as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Orange Mali, where she spearheaded projects such as the rollout of 4G, expansion of fibre infrastructure, and initiatives to broaden access to energy.
In 2019, she became CEO of Orange Money Mali, leading the company to national prominence in financial inclusion. Touré holds a Master’s degree in engineering from Centrale Supélec and an Executive MBA from MIT, where she was a Sloan Fellow.
Orange Sierra Leone expressed gratitude to outgoing CEO Sekou Amadou Bah, praising his “visionary leadership” and the milestones achieved under his tenure, including improvements in customer experience and digital empowerment.
The company says Touré’s appointment signals renewed purpose and ambition, with a focus on leveraging digital innovation to drive inclusive growth and economic empowerment across Sierra Leone.
