Freetown, 4th November 2025– The Honourable Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has been named West Africa’s Best Minister of Information, receiving a Certificate of Honor from Afriqu Europe Magazine in recognition of his outstanding leadership in public communication and civic education.
The award was formally presented by Lokombe Nkalulu, Editor-in-Chief of Afriqu Europe Magazine, alongside investigative journalist Abdoul Rahaman Bah, during a ceremony that highlighted Minister Bah’s commitment to transparency, open access to information, and credible government-citizen engagement.
The selection was conducted by the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, whose representatives praised Minister Bah’s role in strengthening public trust and fostering civic awareness across Sierra Leone. They cited his efforts to modernize government communication systems and promote inclusive dialogue as key reasons for the accolade.
“This recognition is not just a personal milestone,” Minister Bah remarked, “but a reflection of our Ministry’s mission to build an informed, engaged, and empowered citizenry.”
