Freetown, 8th October, 2025– An arrest warrant has been issued for Sierra Leonean musician and aspiring politician Natasha Beckley, following allegations of unlawful possession of narcotic drugs and other related offences. The warrant, registered as C/R No. 161/2025, was circulated by law enforcement authorities on Wednesday, sparking widespread public attention and online debate.
Beckley, known for her music career and recent declaration to contest for the position of Deputy Chair in Port Loko District, is described as fair in complexion and residing in Freetown. Authorities have urged the public to assist in locating her, offering a reward for any credible information leading to her arrest. “I have also seen this. I am on my way to my lawyer and will keep you guys posted,” she wrote in an initial post.
In a follow-up message, Beckley claimed the warrant was politically motivated, alleging that her opponents are using social media to smear her reputation in light of her recent political ambitions.
“My declaration for the position of Deputy Chair Port Loko really set the pace. TIME DON DON. My opponents are now paying bloggers to tarnish my reputation,” she stated.
She further outlined precautionary measures taken to protect herself and her household, including alerting her family, sharing lawyer contacts, and instructing them to record any suspicious activity around her compound.
