Freetown, 1st April 2026- Bo City Mayor Kobba Musa has underscored his commitment to inclusive governance, revealing that his flagship waste management project is spearheaded by an opposition councillor.

Speaking during the Truth Morning Devotion program, Mayor Musa explained that despite political differences, he enjoys a cordial relationship with the four All People’s Congress (APC) councillors serving in the Bo City Council.

“I am friendly with them, and we work together effectively,” he said, noting that Councillor Sheriff of the APC has taken the lead in driving the city’s waste management initiative, a project the Mayor described as central to his administration’s agenda.

Musa emphasized that his approach to leadership is rooted in collaboration rather than division. “My commitment to inclusive governance has helped me work productively with councillors across party lines,” he told Truth Media.

The Mayor’s remarks highlight a rare example of bipartisan cooperation at the local level, with opposition figures playing a key role in advancing service delivery. For residents of Bo, the partnership signals that political affiliation need not stand in the way of progress.

As the city continues to grapple with urban challenges, Musa’s stance suggests that effective governance may depend less on party loyalty and more on shared responsibility for the community’s wellbeing.
