Freetown, 8th December 2025 – The Parliamentary Committee on Employment, Labour and Social Security has summoned the Chief Executive Officer of Angel Group Limited, John Paul Conteh, to answer allegations of non-payment of salaries, benefits, and compensation for work-related injury to former employee Ibrahim Kanu.

Freetown, 8th December 2025– As Sierra Leone commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the European Union Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Jacek Jankowski, has praised the government for strides made in protecting women and girls but expressed disappointment over the recently enacted Child Rights Act of 2025, which failed to ban and criminalize Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

“She emphasized that graduates must embrace adaptability, continuous learning, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution. The world they are entering cannot be navigated by technical skills alone; it demands emotional intelligence, humility, and strong ethical grounding”.
