Freetown, 18th March 2026— Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, flag bearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), has hosted an Iftar gathering with members of the APC Western Rural District family, using the occasion to emphasize unity, inclusivity, and peace during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event brought together party members and community residents to share a meal and strengthen bonds across religious and regional lines. Dr. Bangura underscored his commitment to working with all Sierra Leoneans, regardless of background.
“Ramadan is a month of blessing, peace, and love,” he said. “It reminds us that true leadership is about service to all people, no matter your region, tribe, or religion. My vision is for peace and unity to reign supreme in Sierra Leone, because without unity, we cannot transform this nation or end the suffering of our people.”
Dr. Bangura reflected on his lifelong dedication to peacebuilding, noting that being born on September 21st, the International Day of Peace, has shaped his values. He highlighted the importance of compassion and solidarity, especially during Ramadan and Lent, when both Muslim and Christian communities engage in deep spiritual reflection.
