Freetown, 9th March, 2026 – The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially opened applications for members seeking to contest constituency executive positions, in line with Section 16 of the APC Party Elections Rules and Regulations and the party’s 2022 Constitution.

According to a statement from the National Secretariat, applications can be submitted both online and manually, with forms already dispatched to regional chairmen for distribution across districts and constituencies nationwide.

Application fees have been set as follows: Constituency Chairman: Le500 candidature fee and Le100 for the application form. Other Constituency Executive positions: Le250 candidature fee and Le50 for the application form.

The Secretariat emphasized that eligibility requires members to have maintained continuous, paid-up membership for at least two years, as stipulated in Article 55(1) of the APC Constitution.

To streamline payments, the party has introduced Orange Money as the preferred channel. Members can pay candidature fees and membership subscriptions via the APC’s dedicated Orange Money Merchant Code (271703). Payments made through this system will be verified in real time through the party’s digital membership platform. For those unable to use Orange Money, payments may also be made through the APC’s account at Rokel Commercial Bank (Account Number: 1086762).

The party urged all aspiring candidates to ensure compliance with membership obligations before submitting applications. By issuing this notice, the APC has also formally informed the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) of the opening of applications.
